This Month: Focus On Jamaica
Jamaica has always been an extremely desirable destination, its pristine beaches and cultural significance making it the quintessential Caribbean paradise.
The third largest Caribbean island, Jamaica has an array of unmissable natural features – the Blue Mountains, Dunn's River Falls and the Blue Lagoon – will each contribute to your perfect holiday. Of course, after a day’s sightseeing, you’ll want to relax, so it’s handy that Jamaica is also famous for its rum.
Jamaica does not only offer natural beauty. In recent years as tourist numbers have grown, the quality of properties and variety of restaurants on the island have grown. We at Sunidol Travel are able to offer you the pick of them: something a bit special.
Hotel - The Jamaica Inn
This property is located on Jamaica’s northern coast on its own private beach. It is renowned worldwide, with a reputation as one of the most exclusive beach hotels in the Caribbean, and will live up to your every expectation.
Jamaica Inn has just 47 suites, all of which are decorated in a colonial style that is complemented by sea views and the luxuries you would expect of a 5-star hotel. Each suite has a private balcony or verandah furnished with a full sized sofa, breakfast table and writing desk.
Its facilities are fantastic too, with swimming pool, complimentary sailing, kayaking and snorkeling on site. Diving, golf and tennis facilities are also available nearby. Best of all, the Jamaica Inn’s KiYara Ocean Spa that is located on the seaside cliffs provides a whole range of pampering treatments to make your relaxing experience complete.
Restaurant - Evita’s Italian Restaurant
Nearby the Jamaica Inn you will find Evita’s, a restaurant that is famed for its unusual blend of Jamaican and Italian food. Browse the menu and pick one of the dishes that range from the original – ravioli with a Caribbean twist – to the altogether unconventional: ‘Jerk’ spaghetti.
Whatever you choose to eat, interesting company is almost certain, Evita’s customers ranging from Kofi Annan to The Rolling Stones. The experience is completed by the fine views diners get over Ocho Rios and across the sea.
Sightseeing – Dunn’s River Falls
Dunn’s River Falls is a famous waterfall near Ocho Rios. A major Caribbean tourist attraction, the Falls are well worth a visit, providing an opportunity to escape the sunshine in its shady lagoons. Climbing or walking up the waterfalls is reasonably easy and often a human chain is used snaking up the falls behind the tour guide.
